Wesley
Magoogan was member of Hazel O'Connor's Megahype band in the early 80's. He played
on the albums:

and
later on Hazel's To Be Freed tour, which material was released
on the CD:
- Live...Over
the Moon in 1993.
After
Hazel (in the 80's) he joined 'The Beat' ('The English Beat'
in USA).
Then
played for many years with Billy Ocean.
Recorded 4 albums for Joan Armatrading.
Spent a long time in Los Angeles and Nashville writing for artistes
such as Chaka Khan Brenda Russell etc.
His
playing career ended when he had an accident with a large circular
saw which resulted in his fingers being cut off. They were sewn
back together but he only has one hand that works properly.
His
special sax playing has influenced and inspired many saxophonists
and musicians all around the world.
